What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? - Annabelle employs jump scares to startle viewers and create moments of intense fright. The film also utilizes atmospheric tension, building a sense of unease and anticipation throughout. With the presence of a supernatural entity, Annabelle taps into the classic horror trope of the haunted or possessed object.  The opening scene for our final task will be a horror scene. We chose this genre for our final task because we feel we can have a lot of inspiration in creating the film. There have been multiple films where an antagonist has been a doll. The Child's play and Annabelle series are two of the more popular ones. We also chose horror because we feel many of the conventions and elements can easily be implemented.

Our Pitch

Our pitch blog Pitch A: A young girl attains an old doll and immediately after, things in her life start to go wrong Pitch B: A group of friends visit an abandoned house and all the doors start disappearing, they scramble to escape before all exits are gone. Pitch A: This pitch should be chosen because it is a story that will keep the watchers intrigued. The storyline of this pitch is something relatable and I would love to see how me and my partner could develop it. There are many variations of this story but through our CAMS we can enhance the thrill. I would want to work on this pitch because finding the equipment necessary wouldn't be too stressful. I feel like working on this pitch would expand my knowledge of horror films, which I am not too familiar with. Pitch B: I would like to work on this pitch because creating the concept took me a while. The storyline is something I haven't really heard of yet so to be able to actually make it come to life would be amazing. I feel

For my final task, I decided to work with my little cousin Lyne. I chose to work with my little cousin because I can always rely on her to get things done. She has had a history of doing well in school and passing her classes. I believe I can rely on her to do well in aiding me on the final task. Working by myself can give me unnecessary stress due to an overload of work. There are a handful of negatives to working alone. I have to count on myself to get every bit of work done. When I cannot get it done, I can ask my partner to take matters into their own hands. Another reason I chose to work with my partner is because I wanted to ensure that the quality of the work being done was good. People tend to put half effort into work or not put their best foot forward. Others just are not capable of creating good work. Then there are those who do not submit any work at all. The positives of working with a partner severely outweigh the negatives in this project. My partner has shown time afte

I was born with four older siblings Marcus, Ludens, Mike and Sarah. They helped me develop and find some of my earliest passions  such as music, and comedy. In December of 2007 my family and I moved the United States where we found a home in Florida. Growing up in south Florida exposed me to a ton of different cultures and different experiences that shape who I am today. I currently attend Fort Lauderdale High where I am working hard and diligently to obtain my AICE Cambridge Diploma and my Bright Futures scholarship. In doing so I ended up taking the AICE Media Studies AS course which led me to this blog. My passion for music led me to make a decision here that I'll never forget. Joining my school's band. Joining my schools band led me to develop my musicianship, meet new musicians, and meet musicians who have plenty knowl
