    Production Blog: A Day to Waste

     Today after school, I planned to begin my filming. Although everything was in place to get multiple scenes in today, I lost focus and let the day go to waste. There are a few scenes in my music video that take place in some rooms and outside. Scenes two, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, eleven and twelve are all filmed at my school. If all went as planned, then a big portion of my music video will be filmed today. My cameraman was ready to film. My extras were ready to be in the video. Everything was ready to go but I found myself in a bad situation. After practice I found myself too tired to even film. All I wanted to do was lay on my bed and relax. Once I got home, instead of creating my scenes at home, I was left with tons of homework. Tomorrow I will not get the chance to film. I am busy with school and have a game right after. On Saturday I get the chance to film a few scenes before my performance. If I forget to film before my performance, I can film after work on Sunday...

    Production Blog: Finishing Our Task

    My partner and I decided we need to focus and get a huge portion our filming done. We watched over the scenes that we already filmed and were not impressed. We thought that we could easily do better. We decided that we should start over fresh. This time we entered more determined. Wanted to feel as if we were real actors. Once we started over, we tried to implement all our conventions. Our costumes were straight from our closets. We utilized different angles. We showed different camera movements. We even added the use of sounds. Our main prop which was a doll was designed to look like one of our actors. We wanted to make it seem as if the inanimate object came to life out of thin air. Scene by scene we got different shots in. There was one scene where the camera was moving following two characters. The person holding the camera alternated between the characters in the film.
